Introduction

Getting the message across and making sure it has the intended impact. Speechwriting and speechmaking requires careful preparation and convincing delivery. Together with our experts you will take a close look at the characteristics of a good speech and examples of excellent speechmaking. A series of close-to-reality exercises will help you to develop your
skills of preparing, writing and delivery of a speech with a message people will remember.

Description

This interactive course is about preparing, writing and delivering speeches. Getting the message across and making sure it has the intended impact. Close-to-reality exercises will help you to develop your skills in preparing, writing and delivering  a speech with a message the audience will remember.
 

What does it involve?

The course starts with round-table discussion: what does it take to make a good speech? Together with our experts and fellow participants, you will explore the characteristics of a good speech and speaker, drawn on examples of excellent speechmaking. You will be asked to produce and deliver a piece of speech on your own with subsequent feedback and advice by the trainer.

Learning outcome

A more confident and secure feeling when standing in front of an audience (small or large) and presenting a speech.

Face-to-face or online?

The course is available for online delivery, however we suggest in-person mode to maximise the learning effect.
