Katrina worked for over 30 years in public policy in the UK Civil Service, including at senior levels on agricultural, food, environmental, climate and energy policy.

She combines policy expertise with extensive experience in influencing and negotiating internationally and in the EU: from 2017-2020 she was the UK’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the EU and Ambassador in COREPER I (the body which prepares most economic files for agreement by Ministers) and she has provided senior leadership to UK teams in trade negotiations and in UN climate and environment negotiations (including at the Paris Climate Change Conference in 2015, and at the Glasgow Climate Change Conference in 2021).

She played a senior role, in the UK’s Cabinet Office in shaping the UK’s 2005 Presidency of the EU.
